During the pregnancy period, the growth of the fetus inside the uterus can block the urine coming out of the bladder thus causing the infection. Pain the urethras, pain in the kidneys, pain in the abdominal area just below the ribs and above the waist, feeling pain while having sex, fever, nausea, chills, vomit are the symptoms of urinary tract infection. It is always recommended to consult a physician on noticing the symptoms at the earliest to avoid complication of treatment at a later stage. Physicians will diagnose the exact bacteria which is causing the infection by taking urine sample from the infected pregnant woman and culturing it. Antibiotics are effective in the treatment of urinary tract infection, .to name a few are beta-carotene and capsules rich in vitamin C. Drink a lot of water and fruit juices. Cranberry juice is effective in the treatment of urinary tract infection. While passing out urine, empty the bladder completely. During pregnancy
period, wear only loose garments. In the pregnancy there is increased
plasma volume and hormone, hence wear only loose cotton garments.By taking
the above precautions and safety measures, urinary tract infection pregnancy
can be avoided.
